SIGMA NU CHAPTER HISTORY The Sigma Nu chapter of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta is the fourth oldest social fraternity on the campus of Syracuse University. The chapter was founded in 1901 by 15 students who had petitioned a charter from FIJI International, at the Yates Hotel (now Hotel Syracuse). The official signing of the charter was performed by both International and the 15 petitioners. The brothers of the Sigma Nu chapter of FIJI have shared their fraternity experience for a continuous 108 years, forming bonds of everlasting friendship that have span several generations.
